HRH Crown Prince Frederik is patron of the 2008 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship. Crown Prince Frederik is also a member of the ISAF Events Committee as well as he is a skilled and successful sailor in the Dragon and the Farr 40 class. |

Carl Gerstrøm DEN Chair of the Danish Sailing Association |
Carl Gerstrøm has been involved in the work of Danish Sailing Federation for more than 15 years, including chairman of different committees, Council and Executive Committee and since 2005 President of the federation. Carl is also Vice-President of the European Boating Association and further also involved in different youth projects in the Danish Sports Con-Federation. Before the involvement in the federation, Carl has been president one of the larger clubs in Denmark, Horsens Sailing Club. Carl has been sailing keelboats most of his life, primarily cruising. |

Dan Ibsen DEN Secretary General of the Danish Sailing Association |
Dan Ibsen has been working professionally within sailing for nearly 30 years, and as Secretary General of the Danish Sailing Association since 1985. Dan is also chairman of ISAF Sailing Rankings Sub-Committee (Olympic Classes) and continuously involved in different aspects of the ISAF work. Dan participated in the first ISAF Youth Worlds ever held in 1971 in Ängelholm - Sweden, and thereafter sailed 470 campaigning for Olympics in 1976 and 1980. He is still actively racing different keelboats, enjoying Laser sailing and a lot of cruising. |

Mille Brandt Jensen DEN ISAF APP Coach Assistant |
Mille is 20 years old, and especially sailing has been a part of her whole life, because of her father, who has been a coach at the Olympics 4 times. She started sailing herself, when she was 8, and since then, she has been sailing different classes as Optimist, Europe, 470 and Matchrace. Her aim is to succeed in getting her way to the Olympics 2012 or 2016, either in RSX or in Matchrace. |

Jacob Karstoft Jensen DEN ISAF APP Coach Assistant |
Jacob has just turned 26 and has been sailing since he was very young. From the Danish National Optimist team he went racing the Hobie 406 as well as the Europe class before he turned to keelboat and match racing for some years. He has also raced 29er and achieved excellent results in the Euro Cup and is now racing the 505er. He is an educated Elite Coach and will finish his Coach Diploma in early spring 2008, almost at the same time as he will graduate as a teacher, with main subjects in math and sports. |
